It features ResinTech(R) coconut shell granular activated carbon (GAC), which is used in combination with KDF media to extend the life of filter cartridges. The KDF 55 media is a redox media that helps to remove chlorine, reduce heavy metals, and inhibit the growth of bacteria and microorganisms in the filter.
